Nelson-based environmental lawyer, Sue Grey spoke to Tim Lynch of Green Planet FM about 5G. Sue has been speaking publicly about the potential harm posed by fifth generation wireless technology (5G) which is soon to be rolled out in New Zealand, against the wishes of many.
She said we have a broken governmental system, that is controlled by industry, which does not protect the public from what scientific evidence shows to be harmful. She says we have a problem with the Ministry of Health, as it is not achieving the purposes of the Health Act. She said they have reinterpreted public health as protecting industry. She said we need to ask government for a moratorium, to give us time to look at the harmful effects of 5G.

05may2019 – Professor Michael Hässig leitete die Untersuchungen im Fall Sturzenegger, wo infolge einer Mobilfunkantenne in einem Bauernhof 30% der Kälber blind zur Welt kamen. Dieses Phänomen hörte erst wieder auf, als die Mobilfunkantenne abgestellt wurde:
- 1999: Inbetriebnahme der Mobilfunkantenne von Orange
- 2000: 5 von 17 Kälber blind geboren
- 2002: 9 von 17 Kälbern blind geboren
- 2006: Abbruch der Mobilfunkantenne
- insgesamt 50 der neugeborene Kälber waren blind, im Durchschnitt 30%
- 5 ausgewachsene Kühe wurden notgeschlachtet
- Gemessene Feldstärken: 0,3V/m im Stall, 0,6V/m auf der Weide

Jean-Paul Lecoq spoke at the National Assembly of France. Beyond threats to national security, 5G poses serious health and ecological problems. He reminded that it was not a good thing to become laboratory rats on which one tests radio frequencies. At a time of climate change, to blindly launch a gigantic additional network which will require replacing mobile phones, adding a multitude of new antennas, plus new connected objects basically goes against the liveable world we want.

Patti Wood, executive director of Grassroots Environmental Education, speaks about the threats to life of fracking, artificial turf and wireless radiation—including cell phones and now of 5G networks.
She details what people can do to challenge these dangers and what her organization is doing. She speaks about how in breaking apart underground shale deposits in fracking to extract gas and oil, radioactive materials are released—and some 600 chemicals are utilized many of them cancer causing. She tells of the health toll of artificial turf. She discusses the health impacts of cell phones and 5G wireless networks. She says: “We think that educating the public is the most important thing because the only thing more powerful than money is public opinion.” And with that education are plans for action.
