Social Exclusion Due To Electromagnetic Pollution: A Belgian Perspective.

By Gérald Hanotiaux, translated by Annelie Fitzgerald.

A Review by Roger H Moller, BSc.Ind.Eng. 2nd September 2024.

This excellent document, written as articles by Gérald Hanotiaux from a Belgian perspective and well translated by Annelie Fitzgerald, illuminates circumstances which are far from unique in the modern world. It shines a light on the appalling plight of many millions of people across the globe and ably reflects some of the difficulties encountered by those made Electromagnetically Hypersensitive when their lifetime tolerance was exceeded by an ever-rising tide of electromagnetic radiation pollution.

We are reminded that ‘wireless’ is a new, global, physical, man-made phenomenon that has only existed for just over one hundred years. It is silently destroying the lives and stealing the prospects of ordinary people from all walks of life who are simply striving to survive. If it can happen to anyone, it can happen to you, the reader. It can happen slowly or it can happen fast. In any event, having one’s ‘normal life and aspirations’ summarily taken away without warning can and does happen with increasing frequency.

There is nothing in this well-written document that contravenes my almost 30 years’ experience living each day with EHS. Only by acquiring knowledge, skills, equipment and learning how to minimise my overall EMR exposure have I been able to continue my life, albeit one constrained and curtailed.

As more and more people exceed their tolerable lifetime dose and run to their ill-equipped, untrained and often sceptical doctors, they are using up often inconclusive diagnostic resources and may come away with a lengthy series of pharmacological interventions that delay establishing environmental pollution as the cause. It was almost four years before I met my first other EHS sufferer. Now the prevalence of people becoming aware is increasing though excellent initiatives such as this.

If the prevalence of EHS amongst the 1.5 million (equivalent) NHS staff is 3%, that implies some 45,000 health professionals are working in a system that considers them delusional and who are obliged to spend their days concentrating on EMR avoidance instead of their jobs. No wonder many are under enormous stress and mistakes are made – and covered up. The cost of institutional denial in terms of trust, suffering and money must be enormous.

Lives and prospects for current and future generations are being stolen by invisibly toxic man made EMR pollution and today’s always-on-wireless convenience. Implications that follow from discovering one has joined a Radiation Injured Cohort and that there’s nowhere to run to, nowhere to hide can be profound and far-reaching. Direct impact on health, jobs, relationships, recreation and all dimensions of ‘normal’ can be severe and life-threatening.

Well done Gérald, Annelie, and all those who are making the prevalence and causes of EHS better known. Source Review

Social Exclusion due to Electromagnetic Pollution: A Belgian Perspective
by Gérald Hanotiaux

Forward by the translator

Gérald Hanotiaux is a journalist for the Belgian collective Solidarité Contre l’Exclusion [Solidarity Against Exclusion]. Between 2020 and 2023, he produced a series of substantial, in-depth investigative reports about the health impacts of emissions from wireless technology, with a particular focus on the social exclusion experienced by people suffering from electrosensitivity/electrohypersensitivity (ES/ EHS), or ‘microwave syndrome’. This extraordinarily well-researched series runs to over 130 pages and appeared in several issues of the collective’s social review, Ensemble! Pour la Solidarité, Contre l’Exclusion [Together! For Solidarity, Against Exclusion]. Hanotiaux’s investigations are ongoing as I write these lines.

Hanotiaux’s reporting provides a sterling example of the thorough and fearless investigative journalism that this issue merits. Sadly, no reporting approaching this calibre has ever been undertaken by any media outlet in the UK, where ES/EHS continues to be summarily dismissed and its sufferers routinely derided and gaslighted indeed, on the rare occasions when it receives any coverage at all, ES/EHS is most often misrepresented as a psychological disorder rather than as a genuine physical condition. In ES/EHS, physiological injury from exposure to anthropogenic electromagnetic fields (EMFs) manifests in a wide range of symptoms across multiple bodily systems; according to the International Commission on the Biological Effects of Electromagnetic Fields (ICBE-EMF), ES/EHS “is a humanitarian crisis that requires an urgent response.

The translated list of the different sections of this series of reports that follows provides an overview of the extensive nature of Hanotiaux’s research thus far into wireless pollution and ES/EHS, only a fraction of which has been translated and included in this booklet.
