Dear Colleagues,
I hope your summer is going well.
I am writing for a quick hello re. the 704 No More® initiative.
As each of you know, – 704 No More – is at the forefront of fighting against Section 704 of the (USA) Telecom Act of 1996 to restore state and local governments rights to regulate cell towers and antenna on health and environmental grounds. Simultaneously, we are working to fend off efforts in Congress, and at the FCC, to further restrict local rights. The federal power grab in Washington has ramped up. The goal on behalf of the telecom industry seems to clearly be to obliterate all state and local rights so this infrastructure can be erected anywhere and everywhere.
The – 704 No More – team is working expeditiously on legal and grassroots/social media fronts to protect state, local and individual rights, and to continue to build this movement. Our website content on the many 704-related sub-issues is very robust today, with many downloadable handouts on each sub-topic, as well as brief slide decks and speaking points to empower people at the local level to bring this subject into their communities.

Please take advantage of these resources and keep spreading the word. – It is important – we all regularly reach out to our representatives in Congress and within our local communities. Know that things on the legal front will be ramping up this Fall. We want to make sure our coalition is regularly engaging both locally and in Congress to keep the importance of the EMF issue alive in peoples’ minds right now. Please use whichever of these resources would be helpful to educate in your community with interested parties and potential allies. Also consider sharing some of the many interviews under the Media tab with your online followers.
We are happy to report that several of our social media posts on the EMF issue have gone viral. And our new logo, – 704 No More / People Over Cell Towers – which is getting good reception. As a reminder, view the 704 No More mission and goals statement. Feel free to share this as well and point people to the 704NoMore.org website. And, if you are able, please help us by encouraging people to donate. We need to fully fund the legal work and would welcome your help. You can see the progress reported in CHD’s 2025 Impact Report.
